Children with broken femurs

Any stories of children with broken femurs and how their recovery was etc? My daughter has broken hers and we have no idea what to expect! Worried doesn’t cut it!

My brother broke his at 6. He then rebroke it after getting the cast off (jumped from a height at a playground and presumably it wasn't fully up to strength).
He has no issues as an adult. Though it was a hard time for him whilst it healed, he had a couple of weeks in hospital initially too though I don't know if that's always standard. He had a wheelchair whilst in vast rather than crutches. Not sure if crutches are an option for an older child.

Goodness that sounds tough! To re break it must have been awful for him. Glad he is ok now!

My daughter is 6 too. How long was his recovery do you remember? she is in a wheelchair too, but the cast comes off in 2 weeks so she will have a walker
