6 month old struggling to poo/pass gas

Just wondering if anyone has any experience…

I have a 6 month old daughter who’s been on laxatives since she was 9 weeks old, she is often in a lot of discomfort passing stools or even passing gas. She had around 1/2 poos a week if we are lucky, and it comes with b the most discomfort plus, they are such a thick consistency.

They believe she may have had CMPA so she is on special formula, we have seen a dietician who agreed that the constipation/hard stools and pain isn’t normal but isn’t sure what to do next as the IUGR didn’t show any reaction.

I have rang the hospital and left a message for the consultant, but the screaming, lack of poos for her is simply putting me down. The GP doesn’t care and will just chuck laxatives at her when clearly these aren’t even doing the trick..

has anyone had a similar experience? For transparency bad days are bad and good days are good, have also tried the usual, cooled boiled water, apple juice, prune pouches etc

Same here, I'd love some advice.

Have done all the usual including tummy massage, bicycling legs etc.

Which vitamins does she have? I used to give my daughter ones with additional iron and I do think they may have worsened her constipation.
