I don't see how. Maybe it's what he's eaten the night before hasn't digested properly.

And why not tap water? You can get a filter jug.

I am trying to work out the cause. I am losing my mind. It happened suddenly and I read some water can be acidic. I feel so crap and it will feel nice to know the cause. He drinks this water since birth attached. Maybe in an empty stomach if acidic caused the reflux 😭

Constipation can trigger reflux, a bit like how pregnant women are more prone to reflux. The full bowel takes up more space pushing the stomach up.
My daughter has had reflux from birth and as part of her treatment it's recommended that she doesn't have large volumes of liquid in one go. She never has more than 200ml of liquid at a time we had to drop this from 250ml as she her reflux was out of control again.
I'd try giving half a bottle have a break then give the other bottle. 500ml is a lot in one go from a 2 year old. The average stomach of a 2 year old is 500ml so even assuming they had had no food or drink in the previous 2h that would have completely filled the stomach and it's not surprising that it triggered reflux.

The worst drink for me when I had pregnancy reflux was water on an empty stomach the combination of stomach juices and water with no food was a painful combination. I'd also possibly give it with a small dry snack like some toast or crackers.

No he never drank 500ml at one go never. Maximum maybe he had at one go is 300ml but usually he sips through the day and if he is thirsty drinks more. I took picture of the water to show the brand name

I have had a big glass of water first thing on waking my entire life and it's never given me reflux.
