Is a humidifier worth it for child's cough?

My 17 month old has had a cough the last few days and I'm wondering whether a humidifier might help. For those that use them would you recommend it?

I would! Especially if the cough is worsened by mouth breathing overnight. I run my humidifier constantly tbh. I find it is really helpful for throat and sinus stuff.

I find the calpol vapour plug ins good and help my dd with her breathing /chest when have a cold
