6 month old has red spots ? What are these spots??

Been on the phone to 111, they think it’s not an emergency and to wait to get a GP appointment but I need to have somebody look at the spots themselves hence why I’m posting here. What the hell is this? We had a nasty stomach bug and only just got over it, now my son has these red tiny spots on his body. They started on his torso but now he has a few on his neck and legs

his soft spot on his head is also slightly raised.
the spot on his leg looks different to the rest of them.
they disappear when you press them

has anybody else experienced this? What does it look like to you?

I’d just like to add that my son was the only one who didn’t have the stomach bug. He was as absolutely fine and then randomly got this spotty rash and raised soft spot

I can't see a photo?

It says the images are currently under review. It’s my first time on here so I’m not sure if that’s just standard

If you are concerned then take him to A&E
Even with photos, noone can really tell you what they are on here for certain

I know it’s still under review for some reason

I plan on doing so in the morning. I wish the photos would’ve shown so at least I could’ve maybe had a bit of reassurance for tonight

Ah! I remember all photos have to be reviewed no because a troll was posting horrific CSA pictures recently. It might take a while as it is the weekend. Have you searched the NHS site?

Could be post viral rash maybe? I know you said he was the only one not affected by your stomach bug but maybe he did pick it up mildly and this is how it's presented?

Is he ok in himself? No fever, eating drinking normally? Not excessively whingey? If so I don't think I'd be worried.

Thank you for your response! It does look very similar actually, I have never heard of that before!

he is more fussy than usual. He’s usually a fuss pot anyway. Everything else is fine though.
the rash went away and slightly came back today, I have had 3 back to back illnesses though so perhaps it is a post viral rash. He woke up this morning with it on his torso again and a few of the spots on the back of his neck. Not sure what to think
