Red spot on child’s cheek that won’t go away

My daughter woke up with this spot on her cheek on Monday, I thought it might be a bite because we were out walking Sunday. I put some bite cream on it and it shrunk, continued to do it, but it just won’t go away

Bites can take ages to go, especially mosquitos!

It’s only been a few days. I would give it at least 2 weeks to heal

It's only since Monday so I wouldn't be at all concerned at this point. If it gets bigger I'd get it checked out, but honestly even a couple of weeks is not a crazy amount of time to wait for a bite to resolve completely, especially if it got quite inflamed like that one. Bite cream will help her not to scratch at it so I'd keep applying it.

My toddler had this a couple of weeks ago, it’s fading slowly but you can still see it. Didn’t occur to me to worry about it. Give it time.

You haven’t given it time to.

Did you ever figure out what the spot was? My daughter has one just like it

My toddler had a patch of what we thought was eczema on their cheek that looked similar to the first photo. Then they developed cellulitis in the eye socket right next to the red patch. Antibiotics for the cellulitis cleared the 'eczema' up too, so in hindsight I think it was actually impetigo (which we knew was going round nursery, but as the red patch never wept or went crusty, we assumed it was just inflamed).
