Molluscum contagiosum WITH chicken pox

Hi everyone,
My son is 8 and has molluscum contagiosum for a couple of months, mainly in his armpit and one big spot on his back.
He’s now got chicken pox for the first time (late I know!) and the blisters seem to be forming clusters around the molluscum. Has anyone else seen this before? Should I be worried? I’m using poxcilin on him regularly.

My dd had dreadful molluscums: chest, sides, upper arms, upper thighs. She had had them fir a long time before she caught chicken box aged nearly 4. The chicken pox seemed to act as the catalyst to make the molluscs flare (red, angry and then pop and gone - they bled). After each flare, the molluscs disappeared. They were gone within about four weeks of the chicken pox clearing up.

Thank you, that is useful. I hate the molluscum so I’m hoping it will heal with the chicken pox.

The chicken pox virus will draw a lot of immune cells to the molluscum affected skin, hopefully it will clear it for your son.
