Hi! Waiting to get a call back from the doctors. But for anyone who has expressed molluscum. Does this look like it? I noticed a small spot on my son's back about 2-3 months ago and thought it was a skin tag! But I said I would keep an eye on it.

Looked the other day again and now he has 4. How can I stop this getting any worse if it is it? I would rather stop it in its tracks now before it spreads. He's not bothered by it and doesn't realise it's there.

I found molludab to be a bit traumatising for DS when he had molluscum. Tea tree had the same sort of effect but what really whacked it out was my son catch HF&M and triggering his immune system. Molluscum sits on the skin and their immune system doesn't realise it's there for ages

Weirdly HFM cleared a persistent verruca for me!

Yep, as pp suggested, find the 'mother' spot and focus on that - molludab and a squeeze. Nothing else worked for us.

Not sure he would let me squeeze the main big spot!

Hi all,
My 2 year old had what we (and doctors) initially thought was chicken pox, however it didn't go after 6 weeks so was diagnosed with Molluscum.

I tried everything on her. Molludab, tea tree, etc. Nothing worked. I found that once a week after her bath I used chlorehexidine wash on her and leaving it on for 3-4 mins then washing it off was extremely helpful in killing the spots that had already formed.

Hers was really bad to the point she would be waking up every night screaming and itching like mad.

Another thing we did was get her new mattress, pillow and duvet as well as wash all her bed sheets and covers in extremely hot wash.

Her molluscum has completely gone now after 4 months and she hasn't had any new ones for over 1 month.

P.s. we used La Roche Posay Cicaplast cream on her scars and they seem to have mostly faded.

I hope this helps other mothers going through the same as I went through. It's horrible when your little one is in pain and there's not much you can do about it but hopefully these tips may help at least a few people xx
