Hello, about a month ago our baby boy (five months) was diagnosed with SVT (superventricular tachycardia) while we were in hospital for a bout of bronchiolitis. He was put on propranolol and we were discharged home about a month ago. He seems to be doing well in terms of the SVT condition, but his sleep has deteriorated rapidly to the point where he is now waking every sleep cycle (every 40 mins to an hour) and needing to be resettled is often up wide awake for up to two hours at a time at random points through the night. I just wondered if anyone else had had a similar experience with a baby on this drug for SVT? And if they had, if they had any better experience on any other medication or any advice? I know that a 5 month old’s sleep is bound to be not great! Our DD now 2 1/2 was a terrible sleeper at this age but this feels quite different to just not being able to self soothe or settle it feels as if it’s been disrupted by something especially as he was actually a pretty good sleeper before.Any advice or thoughts very welcome! Thank you!
