Notice a lump behind my little boys ear? It’s hard and doesn’t move. I’m gunna make an appointment with the gp tomorrow but just wanted to see if anyone’s had anything similar?
thank you x

It could be a swollen gland. My DC used to get them when he had a cold.

I agree most likely a swollen lymph node. Suggests he has either had a virus or is fighting one now.
if it doesn’t settle in the next couple of weeks see your gp.

I agree looks like a lymph node. Does he have a cold or a temperature? Are there anymore anywhere else? It is worth seeing the GP so they can check his ears and throat. It is most likely viral but need to exclude bacterial infection that would need antibiotics. It may take a few weeks to go down. Try not to worry overnight. It is very common. As long as your baby seems well make an appointment but don’t worry too much.

Thank you for replies, I seen gp today and she thinks it’s possibly a cyst just got to keep eye on it for the next few weeks and go back if it goes any bigger x
