Worried viral infection is something more sinister

Hello,

First time posting on here and not really sure what I’m after maybe just some advice.
My little one who is 3 has been unwell for 2 weeks started off with a temperature which has now gone. Dr said ears red last week so likely viral infection. Been back today as no better looks pale and washed out. Keeps saying she is tired. Ears and throat look fine today which I expected. She seems ok sometimes then off again the next. The nurse we saw today said again viral and can last weeks. I don’t know why but I am worried it could be something more going on? She’s had a number of viral infections and never looked so washed out before/lasted so long!

A worried mummy x

There are so many nasty bugs going around, and they are taking so long to go. I'm sure they will be fine, it's hard not to worry though.

It can take ages to recover so I hope you don’t feel too anxious although it’s understandable. At the same time do voice your concerns to the GP for your peace of mind - they won’t mind.

When younger my kids have taken a week or two to get rid of virus's. It's really stressful and you can't help but worry when they look so pale and tired but I think it's normal, as they don't have much immune system. Some bounce back quicker than others.

Thanks for your messages I really do appreciate it! I don’t know why I feel more worried I think as it’s lasting longer than usual and she’s not usually quite so pale!
You are right hopefully it will pass soon 🤞🏼
