Anyone’s toddler had swollen eyelids like this?

Hello parents,

my 20 month old woke up with one swollen eyelid. Took her to hospital and it was diagnosed as conjunctivitis. It has now spread to both eyes and she is super uncomfortable, awful to see her this way. We have wiped and drops but it’s been nearly 4 days and no sign of improvement. Eyes totally shut when waking up bless. Any ideas?

Note: we are currently staying in a family house where there’s dust and mould, and I have had awful allergies since being here (coughing, wheezing, sneezing)

Thanks

Happened to my daughter once about the similar age actually. It was ‘something viral’ and lasted about 2-3 days. Doctors were slightly concerned it might be kidney related so asked for a urine sample but she was fine. We did keep giving her antihistamines as instructed which helped. I would go back to pharmacy/ GP as there’s been no improvements

That looks really sore. My son had orbital cellulitis at 2 but that was one eye and bright pink, mixed with severe lethargy and fever. So I assume you're good on that front! I'd be tempted to go back for medical attention, isn't there usually more pink with conjunctivitis?

I would take to pharmacy or a walk in to see if she needs antibiotics
