Eczema at top of thighs

Hi,

My daughter is 7 months old and has recently been diagnosed with eczema. Gp has been great and really taken time to explain things but we are struggling with a couple of things, but primarily at the top of her thighs, I assume where her nappies rub.

Hydrocortisone 1% was prescribed but as soon as it looks better and we stop using it comes back with a vengeance. It’s obviously upsetting her and making her itchy and sleep is a bit crap suddenly which I think is due to this.

This has happened maybe 3 times now. It clears up really quickly (within 3/4 days I’d say) and then boom it’s back within the same time. Is there anything else we can use? Has anyone else found a solution for this?

For reference we use pampers harmonie nappies and cloth wipes. Currently slapping on Vaseline as a barrier but don’t think it’s working. Thanks x
