3 year old started constantly blowing air out of his nose

Hi all,

My 3 year old was unwell a few weeks ago with a temperature and generally being in a bad mood, he then started this thing where he blew air out of his nose like he was clearing his nose. However in the last week it's really increased and now he's doing it constantly.

At the beginning of the year he had this weird blinking thing that lasted a couple of weeks but that passed.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of thing? Does it usually pass? I'm nervous it's some sort of tic.

Thanks in advance xx

It sounds like a tic or stim. Usually these are fleeting and they tend to grow out of them. It doesn't necessarily indicate ND.

Thanks for replying...what does ND mean?

My son in every other way is very typical this is the only strange thing I've ever seen him do, if it passes what's the usual time frame? Similar to what happened earlier in the year do you think xx

ND is neurodivergent - tics can be a sign but not always.

No time frame, one day you'll notice he's stopped and you haven't noticed it for a while.
