I'm sure this can't be normal at age 10! My DS is on his third sore throat this term (since September). First time caught it from DP who possibly had Covid, DS wasn't too ill with it, went about his usual business but a couple of weeks later again complained of a sore throat, this time had a fever and needed nearly a week off school to recover. I took him to the gp this time who said to bring him back if it wasn't better in a couple of weeks but he did recover. Now tonight, only another couple of weeks after getting over the last one he has a sore throat again! There has been no sign of any tonsil infection on any of these occasions. I just can't understand how he's constantly catching things. I guess I need to go back to the gp but just wondering if anyone else's kids of a similar age are like this this year?

It's normal for an adult to get about 5 colds/viral infections per year. Kids get so much more!!!!

Yes, I guess I just thought that by age 10 he wouldn't be getting quite as many. 3 sore throats in three months doesn't seem normal!
