If your DC has frontal bossing and a large head, what was the outcome please?

DS is a month old and his head circumference is around the 98th percentlile. There is no ‘benign familial macrocephaly’ in the family - in other words, no one in the family has a big head.

Having looked at reference photos, I am quite sure that he has frontal bossing. I will bring this up when he sees the nurse at 8 weeks and see what she says.

I’m worried about the potential implications.

If your DC had both frontal bossing and a large head, please could you let me know what the longer term outcomes were? Thank you.

If you are genuinely concerned I think this is a reasonable one for a GP to check over rather than waiting for nurse/HV review - if it actually is "frontal bossing" from a medically significant cause people would want to avoid delays (statistically more likely just to be within the natural variation of human head shape).

Absolutely, but I am looking for some reassurance or some information to prepare myself for what may be upcoming.
