Tonsillitis with no fever but has diarrhoea

My doctor said my son has tonsillitis but he didn’t have a fever. He’s had a sore throat, stuffy and runny nose, loss of voice and appetite and some vomiting. He’s now got diarrhoea too. It’s been 5 days. Online it says diarrhoea isn’t part of tonsillitis. Has anyone known it to be?

Runny poos are pretty common in any viral illness though not specific to tonsillitis.

Thanks. He's 20 months and doesn't often get ill like that (though they believe he has asthma) and I'm a first time mum so it's all new to me really
