Any idea what these spots on my 6 month old’s leg are?

They appeared yesterday and seem a bit bigger today. I’ve been using a lot of lotions and creams for her dry skin but otherwise i can’t think of anything else. She doesn’t seem bothered by them. Thanks.

Possibly chicken pox? Has she had any contact with school age children?

Notdeckingthehalls · 26/09/2024 15:12

Any on her torso? Could be CP.

AmalFish · 26/09/2024 15:13

she’s had tonnes of contact (her brothers are school age, but they have had it). It’s not spreading, she doesn’t have a fever and she seems normal so I didn’t think chicken pox.

Very, and last months!

MoonlightMedicine · 26/09/2024 23:31

I second molloscum. Very contagious and seem to last forever :(

GandDiva · 27/09/2024 00:36

My son used to get molloscum contagiousum that looked like this, it lasted about a year. As spots went away new ones appeared. When they turned red and looked like pimples it was a sign his body was fighting off the virus. I was advised to keep his arms covered to help to stop him scratching and for him to not share towels. The Dr thought it was most likely from him going swimming.

Molluscum .try aloe vera gel . I think it’s prob the alcohol in the aloe vera gel that dries it up. Can go to GP if it starts getting worse

Thequeenofwishfulthinking · 27/09/2024 22:17

Looks like Mollescum to me.

Mumoftwo2022 · 27/09/2024 22:36

Agree with the others above. It is such an annoying virus my little lad has had it now for 18 months, apparently can last 2 years!

Unexpecteddrivinginstructor · 27/09/2024 22:39

It does look like molluscum. A pharmacist might be able to look at them and confirm it.

Toddlerteaplease · 27/09/2024 22:55

Molluscum.
