Air swallowing and vomiting most nights

Backstory..
my nearly 3 year old has had a few issues here and there as a baby with what I assumed was reflux but seems to grow out of it. She has however always been what we call a ‘sicky’ baby, meaning it doesn’t take much for her to throw up.
anyway fast forward to now.. most night after she goes to bed she wakes up crying, sits up, followed by her gulping air down (makes quite a loud noise as it’s going down), then followed by a massive burp and then vomit, usually a lot of it.
after she’s done it she is usually unsettles for a few hours then sort of goes back to sleep for most of the night ( she’s never been a baby that sleeps through) but now I’m starting to think is this reflux? I’ve had her at the doctors countless times and they either don’t want to call it reflux or say she’s allergic to milk ( we stopped her having milk and it still happens)
has anyone had any similar experiences? I’m going to book yet another drs appointment tomorrow but I don’t hold out much hope for help from
them.

thank you!

Definitely needs further investigation. It could still be an allergy and does sound reflux-y (which is a symptom in itself rather than the issue). Best of luck, that can't be pleasant for any of you. Can you build up her pillows a bit so she sleeps more upright in the meantime?
