Why don't you tell us what you think? And which newspaper why you're asking?

Would this be a bad thing to answer if it even was a journalist?
I know in my school it’s all talk and no action. They like to make out there’s all these services and support available. God forbid you ask them to actually do something though as it won’t happen

What’s lacking is money and trained staff.
And why is it (yet again) schools problem to solve? What about proper mental health services and making camhs fit for purpose? With (again) better funding.

Children are totally disconnected from nature and from their own senses.

I would start with a far more child centred approach and lots more time outdoors, in nature, learning how to handle their emotions and themselves outside the pressure and expectations of a classroom.

Done well it's totally transformative

This!

Why do schools have to solve mental health? What’s missing are the health services and proper, timely access to the services that can help and support mental health so that children are able to access education at school.

Schools have a primary job of educating our children, but they can't be everything to everyone.

Schools do need more funding.
Camhs need to be able to assess and diagnose Sen in a timely fashion.
Children need an ehcp if appropriate.
Families should be supported to ensure they can manage a healthy lifestyle with good food choices, can parents cook or is their an over reliance on cheap ultra processed foods?
Can social care support families in crisis to protect children.

Children struggle with their mental health for a miriad of reasons, schools are just a part of a much bigger picture.
