5 year old bloating, stomach pain and urine tests

Ongoing testing under the consultant for coeliac and wheat allergy with general bloods.

For two years ongoing issues with stomach aches and bloating. But has also had UTIs. Urine was 1+ for leukocytes and trace proteins again but no UTI symptoms.

Consultant has asked for an ultrasound of stomach. A suggestions or thoughts?

And I know I need to wait for the bloods it’s been 5/6 weeks and I chased them again, it’s just having your child roll around on the floor in pain / not wanting to play and crying is getting old 😭

How are the bowels? Are you monitoring frequency and keeping a stool chart? Do you mean stomach ultrasound or abdominal ultrasound?

Georgethecat1 · 19/08/2024 20:39

Bowels seem ok but not actively monitoring or keeping a chart….i will start.

Yeah sorry I was in 5 year old speak…abdo ultrasound has been ordered

Also do a food and symptom diary. If you do several weeks of all these things it will save so much time because these are usually the first things a specialist will ask you to do. You may well figure out a pattern yourself.

@endofthelinefinally i think it’s linked to bread / wheat etc so hoping the bloods come back with something as that’s an easy answer. If the bloods come back fine we back to square one
