Grey whites of the eyes

Hello, I’m due to see the optician at 6pm tonight but I’m stressing😂 my daughter is 18 months and I’ve just noticed the whites of her eyes are grey (only in the corner but it’s quite a big section) I’ve phoned the opticians and they’ve told me it could be normal or it could be something more serious.

It 100% isn’t a shadow, and it’s on both eyes.
Has anyone else had experience with this and can help me?

Is it a normal developmental thing or is it something bad?😩

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Obviously I’m no expert but is there bluish hue to the grey? If so I believe this is fairly typical as children’s connective tissue is quite delicate at that age. My sons definitely had a blue tint to their sclera and GP reassured me it was common. Its disappeared now they are older:

Thank you this has made me feel a bit better. Yes I think it's like bluey/grey I imagine it's nothing it just worried me because I noticed it earlier and don't remember my son having it

@Charlotteharris looking again at the photos is does look like both my sons. My nieces had the same thing. We all have hypermobile joints which I guess may play a part (all connective tissue related) but nothing concerning. Hopefully you can get some reassurance later.
