15 month old - thrush and bleeding tongue

Hi all. My poor baby is really suffering with her mouth - I noticed a couple of days ago she had thick white splodges on her tongue. As we were away on holiday I rang our doctors and asked for them to write a prescription for thrush I could pick up when we arrived home on Friday and they confirmed. Unfortunately when we went to the pharmacy to pick it up, the doctor hadn't finished sending it through properly and it can't be done until Monday morning.

It's since become much worse - poor baby has sore bleeding tongue and isn't really eating but is still feeding well. She has had 3 lots of diarrhoea this morning, I think because she just isn't getting anything substantial other than milk and a few bites of food here and there.

I've rang 111 and they were absolutely useless.

Is there anything I can do or give her before we can get the medication tomorrow morning? Any foods or drinks that will give her comfort? Anything to help the soreness in her mouth?

Poor thing - oral thrush is so painful!

Any chance of a walk-in clinic?

The only thing I could really eat when it was at its worst was cold yoghurt or warm, totally smooth soup.

Thank you so much walk in didn't even occur to me but we found one and she has some drops now which will hopefully do the trick!

That's brilliant! Keep up with mild, soft, cold food for a little bit until it starts to improve. Hopefully drops will work quickly.
