Is this more than baby acne / newborn rash

This rash started when my baby was about a week old the same time I gave up on BF and switched to FF dr said it is just baby acne however it has spread angrily to the neck and face chest and even up into her scalp, starting to worry it could be an allergy rash as she is unsettled with bad wind and some vommiting after bottles, first time mum help me out

I'd say baby acne. My baby had this for the first month or so. Would flare up every so often, even after seeming to have calmed down for a couple of days. They're in a whole new atmosphere and environment, so it takes their skin a while to get used to the outside world.

This is classic CMPA rash. Both my son and daughter had it and had the vomitting after feeds, bad wind and nappies, unsettled etc.
Please seek GP and try some hydrolysed formula nutramigen, SMA Althera etc. It took 5 different ones before my son settled on neocate which is completely milk protein and lactose free.
You will have to push hard and don't let the GP fob you off saying it's acne when it's not.
Also speak to the midwife while under their care still and HV to help if needed.

Just an update this was a CMPA rash and it cleared with the correct milk!

@abbs1 thank you she's on puramino for 10 days now things are better but not amazing yet but we will get there 😁

Hi my baby has a very similar rash, very unsettled when digesting and has trouble with wind. The difference is I’m still breastfeeding. 90% of the time she’s awake she’s inconsolable and it’s very distressing for both of us 😞

has anyone had any experience with this? Should I go to the GP?

first time mum here too, with a very unsettled baby!
