DD is 19 & has PCOS.Her last period (June) was excruciatingly painful, with severe nausea & vomiting & we had to call an ambulance (reluctantly).A few years ago we did the same thing and she had a twisted ovary which had to be operated on immediately.
GP has said she may need to go on the pill. She's worried about side effects but as she's off to Uni in September,I'm worried about a repeat event .
Anyone have any experience of being on the pill? She also can't take the combined pill due to a history of migraines ,so will have to take the progesterone only pill.
