Morning,
So DS was complaining of feeling since the early hours of this morning.. but wasn't actually sick. He woke up saying his mouth is really dry. Slight temp, flushed red cheeks. Saying his throat is really hurting and refusing food. I gave him calpol and seems to of calmed down the temp side of things. So far has no apparent rash on the body. Slightly runny nose.
Looked in his mouth and this is his was his tongue.. it doesn't scream red and infalmed but slightly unsure if we've just caught it early as was absolutely fine yesterday until early hours of this morning?! Awaiting a call back from the GP at some point today, so was just after anyones experience with SF in the mean time!

Definitely doesn’t look like scarlet fever yet -
It’s the bacteria spreading into the bloodstream so hall mark is a rough rash all over the trunk, back and arms and legs. It’s impossible to miss. Tongue would also resemble a strawberry and look bright red. So I’d say so far it’s more likely viral sore throat 🤞
