4 year old sick twice and now seems fine just tired. Any experiences?

My 4 year old was sick twice an hour ago, was saying his belly hurt a few times today but thought it was just poo as he had a poo and felt a bit better, was a bit more tired than usual today but only towards afternoon time.

Hasn't eaten anything different that usual, no temperature. We left my parents pretty much straight after he was sick and he fell asleep in the car quite quickly but woke up when we got home (10 min drive), and now seems fine, is sitting with his dad playing a car game on the Xbox, is drinking but doesn't want any food.

What could this be?
Whenever we've had a bug it's come on suddenly and he's been sick constantly for a day.

Stomach upsets can be different from one time to the next, especially if it's different viruses that cause it.

Glad he's not too poorly!

We've had bugs that have just made DC vomit once each - and it was definitely a bug because DD1 threw up one evening, DD2 the next evening, and DH 2 days after that. All of them vomited once.

We've (luckily!) only had one bug that was vomiting all day. The rest have just been once or twice.

Wow really? Whenever we've been hit with a bug it's literally been each of us vomiting all day or night depending on when it hits and then feeling rubbish for a few days after, have never had a bug where it's been one bout of vomiting! This gives me hope haha. It's so strange I just hate not knowing exactly what's up with him

Maybe a virus. Mine was like this with covid.
