Chicken pox passed in household but one hasn’t got it

So my 4yo just had chicken pox, her first spot came up 15 days ago and I know that they are allergic before that. My 1.5yo still hasn’t caught it … I am still breastfeeding her and wondered if my milk has the antibodies in which has prevented her from catching it ? Sounds a bit far fetched but so surprised why she has not yet caught it as I know it’s so contagious - this happen to anyone else ? I know there’s still time for eve to catch it but thought because of the intense exposure she would have come out in them now!

Not farfetched at all, same happened with my sister. She was exposed while still having breastmilk and wasn't affected. Also didn't catch anything when her own kids had it.

That’s so interesting! Anytime I try to Google it , it comes up with things about breastfeeding mothers of babies witch CP already… might have to do a deeper dive! Thanks

I thought this, then just over two weeks later my little one got their first spot! Was a long month 🤣

It can take up to 21 days, so she’s not out of the woods yet.

The incubation period is up to 21 days so she may come down with it soon. It was 15 days between my 2 getting it
