Wondering if anyone has any clues about this...
18 month old has patchy white tongue, with one large, red circle on, and odd (slightly septic smelling) breath. Hungry but cries and points to his tongue whenever he tries to eat. No blisters or bumps on tongue. No fever. But blisters round his groin. GP yesterday diagnosed oral thrush, and said blisters round groin could just be to do with the thrush / nappy rash, which made sense. He has an antifungal syrup.
But today he has blisters coming up on his hands / wrists / feet... but not the inside or outside of his mouth. Still no fever, but has been having Calpol so maybe that has just masked it.
Goes from being relatively content, to suddenly screaming, hitting himself in face with distress.
Does he have thrush, HFM or both?? Any tips to relieve his discomfort? Thanks for reading.
