Granuloma - pus.trigger warning on photos!

So a few months ago eldest had an abscess surgically removed. Was healing well but itchy so one fateful night, when the future was unwritten, I naively put a plaster on it.

Next day it had come up in a huge lump and was a little pussy. Doc says granuloma. Keep it covered but also let it dry out.

Also had antibiotics at some point.

It still hasn't healed.

Finally saw wound nurse who said it has to be covered. Can change pad twice a week. I said no, the pus irritates his skin so we agreed two days.

She changed the pad and saw me too days later. She said it looks better already.

Two days later I change the pad and it looks like this. I think the pad isn't absorbent enough but it also helps show how much crap this thing is kicking out

No heat, soreness, pain, nausea, fever. No actual pain at any point apart from when I remove the plaster.

Any one got experience or can offer advice before we see the nurse again?

No advice other than to get it seen to.
It's a piece of sporn beauty though
