Does your child still snore after tonsils and adenoids removed?

My son has had his tonsils and adenoids removed. He is still snoring loudly when sleeping on his back. Is this common? I thought he wouldn't snore after the surgery.

I was 14 when I had my tonsils out, they didn't do adenoids as I was older.

It made absolutely no difference to my snoring unfortunately

Know someone who has tonsils and adenoids out; they definitely snore! Hopefully, it will lessen as there’s less of an obstruction
