High fevers every month, with no other symptoms for the last year or so

I’m hoping someone can give me some advice, my son (2.5 years old) has been having high temperature up to 40, that last approx 3 days, every 4-6 weeks, then a low temp when the temp goes, for over a year this has been going on.

He is usually lethargic but no other obvious symptoms, if I take him to the doctor they just say it’s a virus.

I have done some research and have seen autoimmune diseases can cause this. Im going to book an appt with the doctor to discuss this but I was hoping someone might have some advice in the meantime?

I don’t have any advice on what this could be, but cyclical temperatures associated with the auto immune disease systemic JIA are daily, ie. For an hour each morning - Rather than monthly. Hope you get to the bottom of it.
