Tell me I'm being ridiculous- open cup/toddler coughing

Hi, apologies for this ridiculous question but my brain is in a bit of a worry spiral. I helped my 18 month old drink from an open cup earlier to get some water. I thought it would be okay as I'd read some toddlers do use open cups and that it helps their development. As I heloef him tip it back with his hands the water must of gone down too quick as he then coughed. Although he only coughed briefly a few times, then seemed fine, Ifeel bad and worried some watet might of been inhaled by mistake. Am I overthinking this? Feel bad for giving him an open cup. Has anyone else experienced this?

Even if he had inhaled surely the spluttering is what we do to bring it back up?
I really don’t think you need to worry if he seems fine now

Had this too with our DD. It's something that is actually quite common I would imagine amongst children learning to drink from an open cup. I wouldn't worry about it
