DS 6 complains constantly of “uncomfortable willy”

It’s driving me crazy now. Docs say it all looks good (no UTI, appears normal) but DS is really struggling. He’s pushing it down all the time. Hands in his pants 24/7 crying often saying it’s so uncomfortable. He hates it going “up” and just wants it “chopped off”. We’re really lost and don’t know what to do. Has anyone had anything similar? Sorry if TMI

My brother had similar when he was younger, it turned out to be a tight foreskin. It looked fine but was only obvious during an erection. He has an operation on it (similar to a circumcision) and it was fine. Could your GP refer you to a specialist?

Balloonhearts · 01/04/2024 18:45

It's probably where his foreskin is too tight so when it stiffens, it's pulling and sore. It's a pretty simple procedure to sort, I think.

What PPs said.

Friend's child had this, was very painful but apparently hard to detect unless penis was erect? So first doctor missed it.

It was fixed with surgery and no problems since then.

Tbh DH had issue with this last year. No idea why there's onset in your 40s, but hey ho! Not much visible to the naked eye, but GP treated based on symptoms and description. I'd be taking your boy back in and asking them to do the same if there is nothing else going on in that region.

Thank you all so much! Making an appointment with GP now 👍

@SnowBall86

I second that too @NCForQuestions insightful 👌 post too,

My son suffered with this health disorder too and it does sound like going by your description in your post @SnowBall86
as your son's foreskin is far too tight,

he will definitely need a small Op to address this pressing issue..

IrishWombat · 02/04/2024 00:29

Could also possibly be balinitus (sp?) my son has had this twice-needed a cream. Hope it gets sorted OP.
