How to get 4 month to take Omeprazole?

Hi ladies
just wondering how anyone gets their LO to take Omeprazole?
my DD hates the stuff - as soon as the syringe goes in her mouth before I even have a chance to get to the back of her cheek she’s pulling faces as if to say go away mum, and then pushing it out with her tongue …. When I persevere she just screams and cries and still spits it out!

pharmasist said to mix with a small amount of formula to get her to take it, but again she just refused after the first few sips and realising that it doesn’t taste like her normal milk!

have tried medicine dummy but that’s a load of crap and doesn’t work! Have also tried sticking my finger in her mouth for her to chew on and then slyly putting syringe to other side of the mouth and shooting it at the back of the throat, but again as soon as she gets the taste it all gets pushed out!

she’s only just turned 4 months and I really don’t want to wean her early as she’s just not ready for that at all, so I don’t really have the option of mixing it into yoghurts etc.

any help would be amazing!

p.s it’s too late to add any flavourings as pharmacy has already made it up for me!

We had this for 2 mth old , we had to make it ourselves with little water and 3 meals syringe. Didn't help gord so switched to lansoprazole and goats milk much better. I just did a little in the side of cheek at a time then he got used to it. At first he hated it though. Good luck. Also tip the syringe so you can see the granules at the bottom, then at least the first bit youk ow that they are getting the majority of the dose .

Our pediatrician told us to dilute the pill on a teaspoon with warm water then mix with heavily diluted apple juice. It's only a tiny amount so it didn't do any harm.
