Is this normal or should I be concerned? 1 year jabs ( pic included)

My DS had 4 injections yesterday ( 1 year jabs) and was a little feverish and cranky last night but otherwise fine, the injections site were fine. But one has gradually has the days gone on got bigger and bigger , it’s not hot and the actual injection site is hard but not the rest. He always has a much smaller reaction on the other left.

the last jabs he had similar to the ‘better’ picture and had a hard lump for weeks but otherwise fine. The bigger one is a little bigger than a 10p and I know sometimes that’s when to be concerned? Thanks in advance

sorry the photo isn’t great on the bad leg , he’s trying to crawl off

Is that the MMR injection site? If so it's normal. Draw a dotted line around it to make sure its not growing too much

My daughter has just had her booster at 3 and she had a red mark like that for about 5 days after the MMR. It grew during the first 24h and then didn't grow any more.

Any concerns after a vaccine given your surgery a ring. They would rather see someone unnecessarily than not see someone that needs to be seen. They get you in pretty quickly based on my experience with my daughter and mum

@Superscientist Thank you for your reply. Pretty certain it’s the MMR, I know it was on that leg. Today it hasn’t got any worse and seems to be a lot less red but will keep an eye. He has been off his food since though but says can be a side effect from a couple of the jabs. But seems to be on the mend, thanks again

That's good. We are a few weeks ahead of you so just to warn you, you can get a measles rash around 7days post injection. My daughters lasted a week which is good for her as rashes usually lasted 6 weeks. Not sure if she had the mumps symptoms as she had a viral illness at the same time as she would possibly get symptoms.
