Eczema? Worried about 9mo skin (photos)

There are 2 parts to this thread - I'd appreciate any advice on either.

My 9mo has eczema which is treated with hydrocortisone cream and emollient. We wash him with aqueous cream, as per GP's instructions. He scratches awfully, especially at night. We've had follow up appointments at the GP, but they've just said that he'll grow out of it.

(1) I've attached a picture of his head, which is particularly bad today. What can we do to stop this? It looks awful, it drives him to distraction, and I can't bear the thought of 4 more years of this... Surely it's an infection risk because he's breaking the skin every day, scratching off scabs, etc.

(2) Also, today he's developed a dry, swollen nipple and red dots on his body. Is this still eczema? I'm worried it could be a reaction. You can see how irritated he is by it too 😢We're planning on taking him to see a pharmacist tomorrow (Saturday), but it would be great to hear from anyone who has seen something like this before.

Regarding eczema my DD had a really bad one and after antibiotics and cortisone cream I researched for something natural to use and found out about calendula lotion. I used Dr Organic Calendula baby lotion and it completely cleared it off. I tried other brands too but they were not as good for my DD.

The GP can only do so much. Our GP referred us to a senior doctor at hospital and she put together a care plan for us. Would recommend! Parts of her advice were actually the opposite to what the GP said!
