9 month old grey poo - WARNING photo

Hello,

DC is 9 months and for the past 3 days her poo has gone from khaki grey to more
greyish in general. It's off the back of a fever the week before and so she had already lost her appetite but she just isn't interested in her solids. Her breath smells a bit funny the past few weeks and I just assumed it was a part of her growing up.

I've just googled this and it could be a sign of a liver problem. From the attached image, her poo looks like image number 1 exactly.

She's pooping about 5 times a day - a bit more than usual but sometimes she does just have a more poopy day than others.

With it being Christmas weekend we've booked to see a private emergency GP later today but does anyone have any experience of this? Should we just take her to A&E? She seems in generally good spirits and playing and being curious as normal.

I would ring 111 and see what they say. Hope she is alright!

A&E immediately OP.

Don't bother waiting for 111, go now.

You should get that checked urgently IMO.

Late to the thread but I would reiterate the above posters’ advice. Hope your LO is ok

Is it chalk like? Definitely get checked out.

Hopefully nothing at 10 months my son had similar, the gp said it was side effects of an antibiotic and possibly a lot of dairy in his diet...he was fine a few days later. The gp said if it was kidney/liver would be other signs...I don't remember what these were sorry

Thank you all for your replies. We went to a&e and they said it was most likely a virus.

They said if it was liver related she would have also had wee the colour of coke and also the doctor felt her liver and said it was all fine.

Panic over! I feel like to be a mum is to just worry 😅
