Any ideas? Waiting on a call back from 111 but been hours so thought I’d try on here. She had a temp last night and now this. My 5 year old is fine.

Could it be impetigo ?

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 17/12/2023 16:19

Impetigo

Hellocatshome · 17/12/2023 16:23

Impetigo I think. You will get some horrible tasting pink medicine so that will be fun. Pretty sure we had to bribe DS with chocolate buttons when he had it.

ChocHotolate · 17/12/2023 16:24

Antibiotic cream can sometimes be used instead of the foul tasting medicine

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 17/12/2023 19:24

Antibiotic cream was never strong enough for Dd.

l hate impetigo.

Charlotteharris · 17/12/2023 19:25

It’s got a lot worse and is now spreading to her legs and nappy area. Still waiting for call back - still thinking impetigo ?

Maybe hand foot and mouth. It can show up on the legs etc too.

The gathering round mouth leads me to that more so that chickenpox but could be chickenpox ?

user1471468579 · 17/12/2023 19:33

Looks like hand foot and mouth to me

Iwishiwasasilentnight · 17/12/2023 19:34

HFM

Flower35214 · 17/12/2023 19:36

Definitely looks like HFM. Hope she feels better soon.

WeeMary · 17/12/2023 19:42

Hand, foot and mouth disease I think.

Ancientdecs · 17/12/2023 19:51

Hand foot and mouth.

jadey1991 · 17/12/2023 19:58

I would say HFM too. Have 111 called you yet

Purplerain1144 · 17/12/2023 20:00

Agree with HFM

Charlotteharris · 17/12/2023 20:03

111 phoned and said they suspect HFM but to get a GP appointment tomorrow to double check I asked about impetigo and she said no and doesn’t think it’s chicken pox either x

Impetigo. Needs antibiotics imo

violetcuriosity · 17/12/2023 20:05

That's hand foot and mouth x

rosyglowcondition · 17/12/2023 20:06

Second pics HFM! Poor lamb.

auburnglow788 · 17/12/2023 20:06

Impetigo - needs antibiotics.

winterchills · 17/12/2023 20:09

Hand foot and mouth!! Poor thing

Charlotteharris · 17/12/2023 20:11

I know it sounds stupid but she doesn’t have anything on her hands and feet - so could it still be HFM? We had it when my eldest was 3 and we all had it on our hands and feet too but she just has it on her mouth, leg and nappy area?

This is almost the exact same as when my DD had HFM. It sucks Xmas Sad

Charlotteharris · 17/12/2023 21:15

With or without the spots on the hands and feet? We seemed to have it everywhere and was horrible! She doesn’t seem to have anything inside her mouth though just on the outside

Good few years ago now, but my dd was like this with HFM. Initially it was diagnosed as impetigo until it spread. No spots on hands or feet for her either. Hope your wee one is on the mend soon

Exact same places as your LO. Not on hands or feet!
