Help! Used Superdrug vapour rub on 2 year old

DS has just turned 2 and has got a really horrible chesty cough. After his evening bath I rubbed some Superdrug vapour rub on his chest to help ease his cough. Since doing this he has gone to bed but I’ve read about the dangers of using Vicks on under 2s so I checked the tub and the Superdrug version isn’t suitable for under 3s.
I’m now panicking and worried that I’ve harmed my child. I don’t know whether to call 111 or if I’m overreacting.

The risk comes from ingesting the camphor. If you know they haven’t touched it then ate it I’d just wipe of as best possible. The symptoms onset is quite quick i believe.

It's only if they eat it that it's a problem. It tastes awful so they generally won't eat it anyway. I wouldn't worry about this.

It's really not a 111 situation. You haven't rubbed arsenic onto his chest !

Thanks all for your advice! I checked on him throughout the night and he was fine. I made sure I went out and got baby Vicks today😅
