My Daughter (6) is a bit of a picker and has what I believe was a bite on her head that she kept picking. It isn’t healing, should I worry that it might get infected? She said she has stopped picking it this week but it isn’t healing, maybe having her hair pulls it. She has had it for over a month now. Should I be worried?

My daughter had similar first thought to be impetigo and treated with antibiotics but it kept reappearing, it was actually psoriasis, its under control now with a treatment she uses once a week before washing her hair. Best to go to doctor.

Thanks for your response, she did suddenly get a really flake scalp, mainly at the back of her head earlier this week. I managed to get under control with coconut oil, so maybe it is related to psoriasis.

I'm 32 and get this ... Have done since I was about 8. They come and go , rare they are v. bad , but they do get awful. I also had special shampoo as a kid.
When they get really bad I have to pluck the hair out of them with tweezers just on the cut , it actually brings massive relief.
Drs are never sure what it is.
