DS is nearly 6, he got grommets a year ago and they’ve been great. Got earwax cleared a couple of months ago and they could see the right grommet had nearly fallen out but was still kind of attached to a bit of skin, but was reassured it was normal and it would fall out completely soon.
DS started swimming at school a couple of weeks ago and although I bought fancy surf ears earplugs, they’re a bit complicated for him to put in so he’s been going without.
Tonight he’s just woken us up saying his ear is really sore. No fever. Have given paracetamol but wondering what to do tomorrow (it’s the weekend). Anyone else had this issue? Will likely take him a traight to urgent care dept in morning if it’s still sore - but what could it be? Just trapped water?
