Is it normal for a 5m old to suddenly start pooing a lot more?

Hi all, baby is almost 5m. Exclusively breastfed. Was pooing once or twice a day. For the last week it has been 12 times. Seems like diarrhoea to me but the docs say it’s normal. Has anyone else’s baby had something similar? I can’t find examples of this anywhere and I’m panicking. Thank you x

Has he had any immunizations recently?

It might be a tummy bug or and allergy starting. Probably worth a call to the gp
