Hi OP, I was told by my paediatrician that if baby is taking half the usual milk amount they would have in a day (so say they usually have 30oz throughout the day but they are only taking 15oz a day), few / no wet nappies and not well in themselves, to go to A&E / see a doctor ASAP. Whenever my daughter was ill between 1 and 2.5 she went down to 2oz of water or formula a day and maybe 2 or 3 grapes. Terrifying! We got her checked out for dehydration each time and was fine.

She went through a period around 3 months old where she only breastfeed for a total of 2 or 3 minutes in the day. Literally seconds of feed at a time. I do not know how she got enough food but her weight gain was beautiful.
