I posted a while back about my daughter and her lack of interest in eating/drinking anything, just loves boob.
I kept on with my GP and he eventually did a referral to paediatrics.
At the appointment I had several videos of my girl at meal times, explained her behaviour around meal times and the paediatrician instantly advised a referral to Evelina..
Dd stress around food has become increasingly more worrying. She’s started clawing at her neck, her face, she headbutts, she gets hysterical to the point she is shuddering and it’s extremely distressing to watch. She looks as if she’s been through the wars the next day. This is without eating anything - we don’t get that far, and then… breastmilk sick. I had to tactically catch her vomit when out the other day after offering a soggy chip. Not the most nutritious option but it’s better than consuming air.
We have tried BLW, spoon feeding, every cup/bottle, formula, small amount of cows milk, breastmilk in cup, I’m certain we’ve tried every single thing you can think of to get a baby eating to no avail. She WILL accept the tommee tippee free flow he sippy cup but only water - no milk.
I knew something was wrong around a month after starting weaning and it’s taken 4/5 months for someone to listen to me.
She isn’t eating anything, won’t take to cups, bottles etc, only breastmilk from me - I’m intending on going back to work soon, I have leeway as I am self employed. What on earth do I do!
Does anyone have experience with Evelina? I guess this referral trumps every trick & other route I have tried! I just feel so sad for her because she is clearly struggling with something - I’m her mum & I feel helpless.
