Hi
My baby boy has a lump that is close to 4 cm in diameter- in his groin area. He is otherwise eating and being his usual self. I have taken him to the GP who has asked us to return in 2 weeks for a check. I am concerned after reading up on the internet and also following a similar thread on mumsnet. He did have his MMR vaccine three weeks ago and I noticed the lump soon after. It has been 10 days and no change in the lump.. any similar experiences ?

Could it be a hernia? They are quite common in children x

My daughter was born with an umbilical hernia as she was prem and then a few weeks after her discharge she developed an inguinal hernia. When we applied pressure it went back in but would pop out again, the Dr's changed her formula and she had some medication for constipation then it went away. They umbilical hernia 'healed' my daughter now has a considerable outy bellybutton so no piercings for her x
