Curved nails - warning photos of feet

Is this odd.

DS nails as they grow curve over and cut into his toe. I’ve attached a photo before and after cutting so you can see what I mean

how can I manage this without cutting super short?

theyve been like this since he was born, does it imply a deficiency or something?

My son's are the same! They curl inwards. Don't hurt him or anything so I just have to try and remember to cut them regularly. Same as you - been like that since birth x

My DDs do this. Just keep them short. Never been an issue.

when I google I see curved nails are an issue but they always look concave not like this

My DCs nails are like this. I think it's because their nails are still quite soft and bendy. I just keep them pretty short.

It doesn't happen as much now for my oldest.

Both my DS’s toenails are like this too. It’s weird as mine and DH’s are normal.

One of my dc has this! I never knew what it was but Mil always said it was my fault so this thread is quite reassuring

One of my childrens nails are like this. I'm not sure of the reason though.

make sure socks and shoes are not too tight and trim regularly.
