The wonders of Astragulus tincture?

So I've heard that Astragulus herbal tincture can do wonders for boosting the immune system of your toddler, but I am not to fond of the fact that the tincture usually comes with an alcohol base ingredient. If used regularly, It could have a slight dependency effect on bodies response to alcohol in a child. I mean it's obviously not proven or at least I don't think there's case studies. Just seems like common sense. Has anyone else had this concern when using alcohol based tinctures? Also has anyone else had amazing results from Astragulus tincture or power form?

Why does your child need stuff like this?

Do they not have a healthy diet and not go out a lot in the fresh air?

A children's multi vitamin would provide vitamin c, zinc and vitamin d if their diet is lacking.
