Thursday my Dd woke up and was very clingy, she didn't wanna eat and just wanted to cuddle me. She was in and out of sleep all day. Friday when I woke up and went to her room she wanted to stay in bed and sleep, and did all day. Got in touch with our doctor and because the length she was sleeping sent us to A&E. They gave her a suppository (she won't and never has took medicine like calpol orally, I have to hide it in her juice or milk). She had a temperature that went down on the hospital and we were back home Friday night after the doctor said, her throat a little red and its likely a viral illness.
I have mouth spray for her and give her medicine in her oat milk.
She's been sleepy all weekend, the odd little energy burst but doesn't last long.
She has not eaten since Wednesday, not matter what I offer, and is just drinking milk. She's sleeping alot still and doesn't wanna do much. Yesterday evening she did have the burst of energy and wanted to go to the park but got frustrated at herself for feeling weak and irritable.
Just wondered if any one else has gone through similar with their little ones, how long it lasted, what to do when they aren't eating?
I have to go back to A&E if her temperature soars again or she refuses liquid. Which she hasn't.
I'm quite worried I'm not doing enough. But don't know what else to do.
