Lump in abdomen (pic attached)

My 4 year old DS has an ultrasound on Friday after I noticed a large lump in his abdomen and took him to the doctor. For context, my son has an incredibly rare genetic disorder and can't walk yet. I wondered if anyone else's child has had a lump like my sons and if so, what it was? I'm driving myself crazy with waiting and google.

Also thinking of you and your son @PurpleThistles84. Waiting for answers is the hardest bit.

Such a pity about the dreadful weather.
Can you have a snuggling up film day today? Or is he a bit little perhaps to enjoy full films?
I made a list from the 'quirky films thread' that I've been working my way through with the dc, but they are a bit older.

Thank you for all the replies, it means a lot. I'm a bit more together today, last night was tough. I am taking my children to a fair today, it happens once a year and is a bit of a tradition. I don't really want to, but I will. It is in a field and not really wheelchair accessible but I will manage.

DS loves Coco and encanto so I will probably watch them later today. He adores music of any kind and although he only has three words, he hums along to lots of different songs.

He sounds wonderful! I adore it when you can hear a child humming, it's such a clear sign they are content😊

Well done for sticking to the traditions, I hope you have a great time at the fair.

Thanks for the replies, my DS had his ultrasound last week. It was inconclusive in that they still don't know what it is. It is 6cm at its widest part, it is pushing his bladder to the right, it has some calcification which was affecting the ultrasound. Since then he has been in hospital for some observations, blood pressure checks and blood tests with an urgent referral for an MRI. His bloods showed some abnormality with his white cells and protein levels. They can't say what that means until they do the MRI.

He has been fine in himself but has definitely lost weight and doesn't have much of an appetite at all. He will be referred to a dietician after the mri.

So really if anything there is just more questions than answers and I am just waiting for the MRI appointment to come through.
